Getting started
Who is K-ABC for?
K-ABC is for adults learning Hangul for the first time. Build consonants and vowels into syllables to learn how to read, without relying on romanisation.
Can I use it without knowing English?
Yes. Pronunciation explanations are based on your first language rather than English. The alpha supports Korean, English and Vietnamese.
How learning works
What does “building” mean?
Drag consonant and vowel tiles into place to form syllables. Seeing and feeling how the upper part compresses when a final consonant is added is central to K-ABC.
How is the Korean audio in the app made?
The Korean audio in the app is generated with AI speech synthesis, then checked against native Korean pronunciation.
Accounts & data
Do I need an account?
No. You can learn everything without an account, and learning records stay on your device. Connect an account with your email only if you want to continue on more than one device. Alpha applications are handled by email and do not create an account.
Can I transfer my learning records to another device?
Yes. When you connect an account with your email, your lesson progress and your mastery of each learning element sync between devices. Study time and the number of answers are counted separately on each device.
Alpha testing
When does the alpha start?
Once confirmed, dates will be announced on the homepage and emailed to applicants. For now, we are only collecting expressions of interest.
Devices & offline use
Can I learn without internet access?
Yes. Learning content and audio are included in the app and work offline. App size: [확정 필요].
Sponsored content
What are the ads or sponsored words in the app?
Some examples and words are provided by sponsors. They are marked separately from learning content, with a cap on how often they appear. [확정 필요: D-4]
